Today's Workouts

Did P90X CVX for the first time and liked it. The polar results show it was a great workout. Followed it with yoga fix to stretch everything out.

Fit Test

So at work they started a weight loss group and gave us a fit test that we did the first week. I did it again today and it was just as brutal as the first time! In July when we did it I blew out my tricep near the end and could hardly use my arm for a week so I was wary of the dips at the end. Definitely some improvements, but need to work on push-ups. Time to tune in my nutrition too!

Renew your inspiration

Saw this on The Run Experience Facebook page today:
So tonight I went for a run. I took a new path and enjoyed the freedom, the rhythm of my stride, the smell of fresh cut hay, and the refreshing sprinkle of rain. I was just going to run 3 or 4 kms but I got into it and did the full 5. I haven't been running much because of some hip/oblique problems, but I still love it when I do go out. Got a solid workout in too. I use the Endomondo app for running, and wore my heart rate monitor.

Give it all you've got!

Did Cardio Fix from the 21 Day Fix Beachbody program today. I tried to push & keep my heart rate up the whole time. "How 'bout a bonus round?" Really struggled with those down ups because my shoulders were so sore from doing Upper Fix yesterday. Here are the results from my Polar heart rate monitor:

I woke up to sore legs this morning.  Actually, I started to feel them last night, but they are quite stiff now.  Yesterday I did a workout from the Nike Training app on my iPad.  They usually include straight leg dead lifts, and those always give me sore legs.  I like it though because I know I pushed myself.  I ate pretty good yesterday (but had a glass of wine when friends were over).
I tried a new recipe- banana ice cream.  It was really good.  My friends liked it too.  So creamy!  Next time I would probably add some peanut butter and maybe a little cocoa, but I just wanted it plain because it was a big group and not everyone loves peanut butter.
Next Sunday I'm running a 5K.  I'm excited to see how eating better and working out daily will help me improve my time.  Just have to focus on that when I'm craving the bad stuff!

It is Time...

I am starting this blog for accountability.  I have been a fitness fan for a long time.  I have and extensive collection of fitness videos and have watched hours and hours of transformation shows like the Biggest Loser and the Last 10 Pounds Bootcamp.  I know how to eat right and how to workout, but really I'm all talk and no action.  I want this to change.  I'm tired of being jealous of someone who has worked hard and changed their habits, I want it to be me now.
I have lost the baby weight for the third time now, but I am still, um, lumpy.  I want to loose that last layer and really tone up.  To do this I need to clean up my eating habits and work out harder.  I have been running a lot lately, but I want to incorporate some weights and push myself more.  I am a mom of 3, so it's hard to get to the gym and sometimes my day can get really thrown off (like when one got pneumonia and another broke her collarbone, within a week).  But I can do it, if it's a priority.  I just need to make it happen, no excuses.  So for the month of June, my sister and I are going to try and clean up our eating habits, and I'm going to work out more.  I can do it.
I have had a lot of people tell me lately I look good, since I've lost the baby weight, but I still don't think I do.  I think I look the same as I did 1 month post-partum.  It's because of the lumps and jiggles.  They have to go.  It is time.
